Well, if you don’t know, let us guide through the risks that you expose yourself and your family to, by using these apparently seeming ordinary everyday toxic products.

Everyday Toxic Products

The internal environment of a home gets toxic with the use of ordinary products like;

  • Personal hygiene products like lotions, shampoos, creams

  • Fabric Softners
  • Perfumes
  • Plugin candles and air fresheners

On the other hand, the outside environment gets toxic through;

Toxic Substances Present In Daily Household Items

No matter how much you are careful about maintaining a toxic-free living space, there are plenty of household items that contain toxic materials.

Cleaning products and sprays contain toxic ingredients like phthalates and harmful chemical surfactants. These everyday toxic products can irritate the throat, eyes and cause headaches. Severe health problems include cancer.

The plastic-made materials contain phthalates, which can destroy the body’s endocrine system and produce adverse developmental, reproductive and neurological effects in mankind. When used, these toxic products release different levels of pollutants, extremely harmful to health.

A plug-in candle produces harmful smog inside the room with a reaction between the plugin fragrance and ozone. These reactions in plugin products produce formaldehyde that causes respiratory problems and lung issues.

Toxics In Personal Hygiene, Cosmetics and Perfumes

Do you know that the products you use to groom yourself are actually toxic? Yes, it is right, your cosmetics and perfumes contain more toxic elements that you can even imagine. Makeup and skin products typically contain toxic stuff like lead, parabens, phthalates, PEG compounds, and many other injurious chemicals.

According to research, fragrances contain Benzaldehyde, camphor, ethyl acetate, benzyl acetate, linalool, and acetone and methylene chloride. When inhaled, these ingredients cause dizziness and nausea, headache and kidneys malfunctions at times.

The regular use of makeup, skincare products, and perfumes can increase the level of hormone production in the human body. An ingredient named diethyl phthalate causes sperm damage among other significant health side effects.

Air Pollution

Air pollution is a major health concern for all mankind. It consists of gases and solid particles in the air. Our bodies are exposed to car emissions, dust, chemicals from factories among other elements on a daily basis.

How to Keep Your Body Toxin-Free?

Sure, you cannot stop going out or avoid all of the toxic elements that you are exposed to every day. However, you can surely reduce the harmful effects. Here is how;

Switch to Organic Substances

It is good to use a perfume that is made naturally using natural oils. Ladies can switch to mineral-based or made-of natural oils.

Instead of using heavily chemical loaded cleaning sprays, you can use organic products like baking soda, soap powder, or lemon and hot water. When used singly or in a combination, it is easy to clean your household items.

how to purify air with salt lamps?

Purify the Air You Breath In And The Water You Drink

Invest in some salt lamps. They are a natural way to purify the air and also add a decorative touch to your space. According to research, they also support sound sleep.
Also, invest in a water purification system for home and bath so you can avoid toxins like mercury, lead and PCBs that tap water can contain.

Stop Using Plastic Containers and Bottles

Plastic contains hazardous chemicals. Sure, it is cheap but costs much more when it comes to risking your life. Therefore, switch to glass containers and make your food safe.

Thyroid Testimonial

Low thyroid seems to be quite common in the female population.  The mainstream medical system seems to want to prescribe a thyroid drug to every women over 40 years old.  I have been a naturopathic doctor for almost 19 years now and it seems most of my clients that i see are taking a prescription for their thyroid.  When i do my health assessment, i usually find that the thyroid isn’t really the problem.  It may be low, but its low for other reason, such as dehydration, low vitamin and minerals, an acidic pH just to name a few.

I am happy to share this testimonial from one of my clients.  She has been taking prescriptions medications for her thyroid for many years.  She has been working on improving her health from a holistic and natural approach.  Here is what she messaged me.  I was happy to see this message.  It just continues to confirm what we are doing at the WBHC is what your body wants.

If you or anybody you know is suffering from thyroid disease or thyroid issues and want to work on improving your health in a natural way, please call us  at 972-434-7780 and schedule an appt.  We would love to help.
